BASIC FIRST AID
For those below 16 yrs old. This course is similar to Adult First Aid in content
but is given a more simple treatment.
ADULT FIRST AID
This 3-day (18 hr) course covers a wide range of topics such as shock, wounds,
bleeding, fractures, suffocation, unconsciousness, etc. Participants are taught
both theory and hands-on skills such as bleeding control, bandaging, abdominal/chest
thrust for choking, CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation), etc.
OCCUPATIONAL FIRST AID
(Accredited
by the Ministry of Manpower)
This is a 21-hr course required by companies for compliance with the Workplace
Safety and Health Act 2006. Besides first aid, participants also learn about
the legislation covering first aid as well as safety, chemicals, and accident
prevention in workplaces.
STANDARD FIRST AID
(FOR CHILDCARE PERSONNEL)

by the National First Aid Council)
This childcare first aid course with theory and hands-on learning, covers important aspects
of first aid and life-saving for children. This will equip participants with the skills
to render first aid in emergencies at home or outside.
BASIC CARDIAC LIFE SUPPORT (BCLS)
(Accredited
by National Resuscitation Council)
BCLS is a 1-day course in
which participants learn skills such as CPR and abdominal and chest thrusts.
Both adult and infant victims are covered.
CPR + AED (Accredited by National Resuscitation Council)
This half-day life-saving course teaches the participants how to use the AED (Automated External Defibrillator) in conjunction with CPR to revive a victim of cardiac arrest.
