(A) Activities
The Badgers meet once a week at their
local Set, but keep in contact with other Sets through their
The Set meetings are intended to be
educational, but also great fun, often involving games, parties and sports.
Sets frequently organise trips, camps, excursions and
picnics and are also involved in fund raising activities and major
(B) Aims
The purpose of the Badgers is:
(i) to provide a friendly, safe and relaxed environment, in which children can both learn and have fun, gaining a sense of achievement through everything they do.
(ii)
to stimulate the interest of children in the concept
and aims of
(iii) to encourage the Badgers to develop their common sense, honesty, self-control, courage, and sense of fair-play.
