Procedure and rules for using of the NHQ facilities

 
  1. Facilities booking form (softcopy) is obtainable at http://www.sjas.org.sg/council/.
       
  1. Completed form is to be sent to respective Zone Commissioner, and copy to the facilities@sjas.org.sg. The approval is subject to his/her approval.
       
  1. The National St. John Council reserves the right to cancel a reservation by giving not less than seven (7) days notice before the date of the function to the applicant without assigning any reason whatsoever.
       
  1. Rules for using the hall:
 
  • Applicant must check and take over the requested items from Secretariat Office one day before during office hours (Please call the Secretariat Office before coming down).:
   
  • Monday – Friday (0900 hours to 1800 hours)
  • Saturday (0900 hours to 1300 hours)
 
  • Where admission tickets, programme, etc are to be issued, a copy of such permit must be submitted to the Secretariat Office, before issue, to confirm compatibility with our aims.
  • The applicant shall be personally responsible for making good any loss or damage to Council property and equipment to the entire satisfaction of the Council.
  • The applicant shall be held responsible for any incidents or damage that may occur during the functions.
  • No nails, drawing pins or glue shall be affixed or pasted to the walls or partitions.
  • No rubber hose is to be used for taking water for washing purposes.
  • No smoking / cooking is allowed within the premises.
  • No left over food is left in the premises.
  • No dancing is allowed on the carpeted area.
  • Report and attend to any spillage of food and drinks on the carpet immediately.
  • Return all the P.A. system back to the metal cupboard.
  • At the end of the function:
   
  • Close all windows.
  • Switch off all lights, fan and air-con.
 
  • After locking up all the hall equipment, applicant has to deposit all keys into the letter box no. 36 (Secretariat HQ).
  • Secretariat Office will check all the hall premises and all the loan equipment on the next working day, if there is any discrepancy the Secretariat Office will make know to the applicant.
       
  1. Rules for using others room:
 
  • Handle the equipment and furniture with care.
  • Report any damage or malfunction of the equipment (OHP, LCD projector, remote control, lights, chairs & etc) to Secretariat Office.
  • Practice economy in the use of electricity and switch off lights, fans and air-con when no one is in the room.
  • No drinking / eating.
  • No littering / smoking.
  • Permanent marker-pen SHOULD NOT BE USED on the white board.
  • Return the remote control to the respective position.
  • Additional rules for using nursing room:
   
  • Applicant must check and take over the nursing items from Secretariat Office one day before during office hours (Please call the Secretariat Office before coming down):
     
  • Monday – Friday (0900 hours to 1800 hours)
  • Saturday (0900 hours to 1300 hours)
   
  • Handle nursing room equipment, supplies and furniture with care.
  • Clean, tidy up and place back the items at the original position.
  • Put back the articles, linen and supplies in their respective places neatly.
  • After the session, the applicant must ensure cupboards are locked and deposit all keys into the letter box no.  36 (Secretariat Office).
  • Secretariat Office will check all the nursing equipment on the next working day, if there is any discrepancy the Secretariat Office will make know to the applicant.
       
  1. All booking for lecture room 4 & 5 on Saturday will only can be release on that week Tuesday, as HQ then will know whether there is any Life Support Course (BCLS, CPR+AED and etc) held on that day.
       
  1. The National St. John Council reserves the rights to change the above procedures and rules without prior notice.
